Purbanchal University (PU) is a public institution established in 1993 by the Government of Nepal, aiming to decentralize higher education and promote socio-economic development in the eastern region of the country . Situated in Gothgaun, Morang District, within Koshi Province, the university spans over 545 hectares and serves as a significant academic center in the area .
PU offers a diverse range of academic programs across various faculties, including Management, Engineering, Medical and Allied Sciences, Science and Technology, Arts, Law, and Education . It operates through seven constituent campuses and has affiliations with over 122 colleges nationwide, providing education to more than 26,000 students .
