Nepal Law Campus

Nepal Law Campus (NLC), located in the heart of Kathmandu, is the oldest and most prestigious institution for legal education in Nepal. Established in 1954 (2011 B.S.) as part of Tribhuvan University, it has played a foundational role in the development of the legal profession and the justice system in the country. Initially affiliated with Patna University of India, the campus became part of Tribhuvan University when the university was established in 1959.

Over the decades, Nepal Law Campus has built a strong reputation for academic excellence and rigorous legal training. It offers comprehensive programs in law, including the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Master of Laws (LL.M), and various diplomas and specialized legal training courses. The campus has contributed significantly to Nepal’s legal field, with many of its alumni serving as Supreme Court justices, senior advocates, legal scholars, bureaucrats, politicians, and human rights activists.

The campus is known not only for its academic curriculum but also for fostering critical thinking, research, and legal advocacy through its moot court programs, legal aid clinics, seminars, and publications. Its central location in Kathmandu offers students direct access to Nepal's judicial institutions, including the Supreme Court, the Nepal Bar Association, and various legal organizations, allowing for valuable practical exposure.
