Description

Tribhuvan University (TU), established in 1959, is the first and largest university in Nepal. Located in the historic town of Kirtipur, just 5 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu, it stands as the central pillar of Nepal’s higher education system. TU was founded with the aim of providing accessible and affordable quality education to the people of Nepal and has since played a crucial role in shaping the country’s academic and intellectual landscape.

As a public university, TU is funded by the government of Nepal and is committed to academic excellence, research, and innovation. It offers a broad range of academic programs through five technical institutes and four general faculties.
